IWC takes it back to 1994 with its limited edition Pilot's Watch "Tribute to 3705"
In 1994, IWC released the Fliegerchronograph Keramik, a watch that was unlike anything else on the market with its unique black zirconium oxide ceramic case. The watch ended up being discontinued a few years later due to poor sales and about a thousand examples were made, many of which are highly sought-after by collectors to this day. Fast forward to 2021 and the watchmaking industry can't seem to make enough black ceramic watches. Today, IWC celebrates that innovation with the Pilot's Watch "Tribute to 3705", a replica of the original model, which now has a proprietary 41mm Ceratanium case in a black finish and contains an in-house 69380 calibre with a power reserve of 46 hours.
