IWC unleashes a squadron of ceramic timepieces
IWC showed off its ceramic expertise in a big way with an extensive range of new ceramic and Ceratanium timepieces. Our favorite styles of the collection are two new updates to the Pilot's Watch Chronograph Top Gun Edition: the Pilot's Watch Chronograph Top Gun Edition "Woodland" (above -$9,900) and "Lake Tahoe" ($9,100). The "Woodland" model features a 44.5mm dark green ceramic case with matte black Ceratanium pushers and a matching case back. The "Lake Tahoe" model features a white case with steel pushers and a titanium case back. Both watches are powered by IWC's 69380 automatic movement, which has a column-wheel chronograph and a 46-hour power reserve.
The Pilot's Watch Chronograph 41 Top Gun Ceratanium
The Big Pilot's Watch 43 Top Gun ($10,300) gets a larger 43.8mm case that's made out of black zirconium oxide ceramic and has a titanium crown and case back and is fitted to a quick-release green textile strap. The watch is powered by IWC's 82100 automatic movement, which has a power reserve of 60 hours.
Pilot's Watch Chronograph 41 Top Gun Ceratanium
The Pilot's Watch Chronograph 41 Top Gun Ceratanium ($11,200) marks the first time a 41mm Chronograph in this collection has had its case, pushers, and crown made out of the lightweight and scratch-resistant material. Fitted to a rubber strap with a textile inlay, the watch has a stealthy, all-black theme and is powered by IWC's 69385 automatics with a 46-hour power reserve.
