Just when you thought watches were trending back toward smaller cases, IWC comes in with a massive, 55mm timepiece for their Pilot's collection. Though it may be much larger than most watches, it's also pretty light. The case is made from titanium and weighs in at less than 150 grams.

The movement is a hand-wound in-house calibre that features a friction clutch to protect it against overwinding and a soft-iron inner case guards it from magnetic fields. If 55mm is way too big of a case, IWC will also release the watch in a 48mm model, both of which are limited editions with the 55mm limited to 100 pieces and the 48mm limited to 1,000 pieces.
