Known for designs like the Magis Chair_ONE, Konstantin Grcic's design aesthetic is an ever-evolving resume filled everything from furniture pieces to bags to installations and more. His latest project is a watch collaboration for Issey Miyake called the Roku. Grcic describes the watch as "Two strong shapes that interplay with each other. Just like the notion of time: The continuous passing of hours/minutes/seconds on the one hand, the punctuation of certain events on the other."
A chunk of hexagon-shaped stainless steel surrounds a dial with a sunburst finish with a lug-less design that is joined with a calf leather strap or a stainless steel mesh bracelet. The watch also features a Hardlex crystal face, a Seiko VJ21 Quartz movement with a 3-year battery life, and 5 bar/167 ft water resistance.
