Any clothing designer will tell you how difficult it is to simply even just think about getting into the denim business let alone making your own. So any attempt these days better be something special and the Hill-Side's new pair of selvedge definitely hits the mark.

Amongst the list of impressive details you'll find a 14.5 oz double-slub red-line selvedge from Okayama, Japan where the jeans are handmade and cut in a slim-straight fit. Inspired by jeans from WWII, these feature minimal branding and subtle touches like a painted laurel-leaf military waist button, pocket bags made using fabric from the Hill-Side's SS15 colleciton, and unmarked copper rivets.

$198, available in-store and online at Hickoree's
