Grand Seiko's "Omiwatari" features a dial that emulates the look of a frozen lake
Another showstopper from Seiko's Elegance Collection.
Seiko introduces its latest addition to the Elegance Collection with the Omiwatari, a natural phenomenon on the waters of Lake Suwa, where it's said that Shinto gods walk out over the ice. Inspired by this, Grand Seiko's designers created a dial that recreates the look of the undulations of a frozen lake. The icy blue, hammered dial sits above Seiko's manually wound Spring Drive Caliber 9R31 movement, which has a power reserve of 72 hours. The 38.5mm case is finished in stainless steel and is fitted to a black crocodile strap with blue stitching.
