Garmin brings smartwatch technology to the tool watch

Garmin is introducing a new high-end collection of smartwatches that blend the ruggedness of classic tool watches with the modern features of a smartwatch. MARQ will come in five different models with each individual model featuring hardware and software tailored to racing, flying, fitness and more. The Aviator Edition (above) will have a 24-hour GMT bezel, a lightweight titanium bracelet, and aviation-specific software tools such as emergency navigation and an HSI course needle. The watches will also have a set of smartwatch features like wireless payments, fitness tracking, email and text notifications, a heart rate and oxygen sensor, music streaming, GPS, and 12 days of battery life when in smartwatch mode.
