G-Shock releases its first MR-G model of the year with the launch of the MRG-B5000, a new model inspired by their very first model from 1983. The watch is made out of Cobarion, a material that has four times the hardness of titanium and is matched with a bracelet made out of DAT55G titanium, which is three times harder than pure titanium and is also scratch resistant. Available in black or silver, the watch is built at the high-end Premium Production Line at Yamagato Casio, which is said to be the highest level of G-Shock manufacturing. The watch features 200M water resistance, radio wave reception, Bluetooth connectivity with Smartphone Link, world time, stop watch, countdown timer, alarm, and a tough solar power system that allows for up to 22 months of battery life with the power save function activated.
