De Bethune DB28GS "JPS"

De Behtune looks to the Lotus John Player Specials of the 1970s to inform the design of its latest timepiece, the DB28GS "JPS." Just like the race cars, the watch is finished in black and gold with elements that are finished in zirconium, stainless steel, and grade 5 titanium. And while the 44mm case is complex in its construction, the real star of the show is the movement, which consists of 400 parts and features a self-regulating twin barrel, a titanium balance wheel with white gold inserts, a "De Bethune" balance spring with flat terminal curve, a silicon escape wheel, a triple pare-chute shock-absorbing system, and mechanical dial lighting. The movement is hand-wound and has a power reserve of five days.
