Christophe Claret X-Trem-1

Christophe Claret proves once again that watchmakers are some of the most incredible engineers on the planet with the unveiling of the X-Trem-1 timepiece. Surrounding the tourbillon which is mounted at a 30-degree angle, are two sapphire tubes that each house a steel ball which both indicate the time. Incredibly, these two steel spheres are suspended in mid-air, floating to each hour and minute to display the time. This was accomplished by using cables made from thin silk threads which move the magnets to give the illusion of the spheres floating in space. Link
