Bremont has launched two new pilot's watches today that celebrates aviation's past and its future. The first model is the ALT1-C Griffon (from $6,695), a tribute to the Spitfire flown by the father of Bremont co-founders Nick and Giles English. Building on the ALT1-C Cream, the Griffon recalls early instrument designs with its cream-colored lume and technical styling. The 43mm watch features a modified caliber 13 ¼’’’ BE-50AE automatic with a 42-hour power reserve, chronograph functionality, a hardened stainless steel Bremont Trip-Tick case construction with a DLC coated case barrel, and it can be equipped with a vintage leather strap or a metal bracelet.
The ALT1-P2 JET (from $5,595) fast forwards to the future with a stealthy timepiece inspired by Richard Browning, who has been deemed the "real-life Iron Man" with his innovative Gravity Jet Suit that could potentially bring us one step closer to human flight. The blacked-out timepiece features a DLC-coated 43mm case, a modified caliber 13 ¼”’ BE-53AE automatic movement with a black rotor and a 42-hour power reserve.
