Audemars Piguet unveils the Flying Tourbillon Royal Oak Extra-Thin RD#3
The watch is their first "Jumbo" model with a selfwinding tourbillon movement.
Audemars Piguet continues its 50th anniversary celebrations with its first "Jumbo" Royal Oak that's powered by a selfwinding flying tourbillon. The Royal Oak RD#3 will come in both 39mm and 37mm (available this September) and measures just 8.1mm thick. In development for five years, Caliber 2968 is only 3.4mm thick and manages to pack 226 components in an ultra-slim package while offering a 50-hour power reserve. Finished in stainless steel with a matching steel bracelet, the watch features a PVD-finished Bleu Nuit Tapisserie dial that's inspired by the original model.
