The cult favorite that is the Gel-Lyte III is getting a very special makeover this month as Asics releases a 'Made in Japan' edition of the sneaker. The limited edition styles will highlight the craftsmanship that's expected from a Japanese-crafted product with details like an immaculate leather upper and hand-dyeing from Hon Aizome artisans. Each leather panel of the shoe is individually dipped in a centuries-old process that uses natural indigo leaves, natural alcohol, and fresh water to achieve that rich blue finish.

Available December 9th.
