adidas is previewing a new fabric technology for a potential future sneaker with the Futurecraft Biofabric. The sneaker uses a 100% biodegradable fabric that emulates natural silk that is not only lighter than traditional synthetics, but is also the strongest natural material out there. No word yet on when we'll see Biosteel sneakers in store, though adidas and AMSilk, the manufacturer of the fabric, are currently in talks to explore building Biosteel on a larger scale.
