A. Lange & Söhne releases a special collection of 1815s in honor of Walter Lange
It's easy to be taken aback by the minimalist beauty of an A. Lange Söhne 1815, but behind that pretty face lies a highly complex movement to ensure an accurate time measurement in seconds. The 1815 “Homage to Walter Lange” features an additional seconds hand alongside the 6 o’clock subregister, a function that can precisely jump from second to second and can be stopped and started when pressing the 2 o'clock pusher.
All of this watch magic requires 253 components in their L1924 movement, which all works together harmoniously to power the watch's functions. Other details include a power reserve of 60 hours, a 40.5mm case in a limited run of white gold, yellow gold, and pink gold, and a special stainless steel version with a black enamel dial that will be sold at auction for charity.
