The talented folks behind NY-based Owner Operator are getting into the snowboard business with their new brand, United Shapes. Their first board, the Space Cadet 001, a freeride-focused board designed by filmmaker and pro-snowboarder Gray Thompson. Tuned for his style of riding, the board shines in deep powder and is ideal for all-mountain riding.

The cadet is sized at 156cm and features their own proprietary camber profile, a subtle taper that enhances the ride in powder, and specially designed sidecut that is optimized for deep carving. As for construction, the board features a sandwich construction with an aspen/pine wood core, trixial fiberglass, directional carbon stringers, VDS dampening, a sintered base, and a structural base finish.

The Space Cadet is available for $485 at UnitedShapes.us.  (Via CoolHunting)
