Not so fast, Nike. The Swoosh isn't the only company in town with self-lacing technology, Puma has just introduced their Fit Intelligence (Fi) platform that features a micromotor and a cable system that can be tightened or loosened by simply swiping up or down on the Fi module on the tongue. It also learns the shape of the foot and will adapt to its wearer and the fit can be adjusted via an Apple Watch or a smartphone.

The first Fi training shoe will be available in 2020.
