Nike unveils the Zoom Hypercross Trainer, a versatile workout shoe that implements their new hexagonal Nike Zoom Air design for enhanced cushioning and responsiveness. They've accomplished this with a unique new sole that places Zoom Air units into hexagons that contain tightly stretched tensile fibers.
Using pressure mapping and an extensive set of data, Nike placed the zoom units in the forefoot rather than the heel to complement where most of the movement of an athlete occurs when in an intense workout. It also allows the foot to be lower to the ground for better stability and flex grooves in the sole give you more articulation. The Zoom Hypercross Trainer will be available on Nike.com and select retailers on October 10th.
