Helios is an impressive new project that aims to turn any ol' bike into a connected "smart" bike. It does this with Bluetooth connectivity that allows you to control the lighting and brightness of the handle's 500 lumen LED lamps, enable proximity controls that brighten the lamps based on how close you are to the bike, and a GPS sensor to keep track of you bike's location. It also features turn signals, a speedometer feature, and ambient lighting that can be set to 9 different colors. The designers will be seeking Kickstarter funding starting tomorrow and with early bird pricing set at $199 they shouldn't have too much trouble getting this project off the ground. Helios
