Article One launches its new Active Collection, a performance-focused range of sunglasses that use the latest in eyewear technology while wrapping them in timeless silhouettes. All the frames in the collection use a material called hexetate, a high-tech and lightweight acrylic resin that has the classic look of acetate but takes it further with enhanced flexibility, strength, and the ability to retain its shape even when exposed to high temperatures that would normally prove to be troublesome with traditional materials.

All the frames in the collection use CR39 polarized lenses to significantly reduce glare and you've got adjustable nose pads, rubber temple tips, and spring hinges to comfortably fit a wider variety of face sizes. They have also been able to integrate these features in a stealthy way to create a look that easily transitions from sport to street. One highlight of the collection is the Barron (top, above), which puts all of these technologies in a wayfarer-style shape.

The new Active Collection is available now at their online store and select independent optical retailers.
