adidas wants to upend tradition with a new golf shoe range called CODECHAOS. Designed with a hybrid spikeless and rubber outsole, the shoe's proprietary Twistgrip system delivers maximum traction based on swing studies that researched how golfers shift their weight as they swing a golf club. These studies informed the placement of the shoe's traction and the type of lug shapes needed to provide grip in varying conditions. The upper features a multi-layer mesh that was designed with durability and breathability in mind and it also features layers of film for waterproof protection on the course. Full-length Boost cushioning keeps it all comfortable and a Torsion X stability bar adds much-needed support.

The shoe will come in both low and high-top models (above) and will hit stores on January 31st.
