Aprilia's RSV4 superbike gets more powerful for 2019

The new model increases displacement and produces 217 hp.

Aprilia's flagship superbike is getting some power and performance upgrades for 2019 with a new 217 hp V4 engine. A race bike built for the street, the RSV4 bumps up the displacement to 1078cc with the use of updated pistons, a new oil pump with increased flow capacity, and a double oil jet that lowers piston temperature. Power is rated at 217 hp at 13,200 rpm and it will produce 90 lb-ft of torque at 11,000 rpm. It will also feature a revised suspension system, a shorter wheelbase, adjustable series TTX shock absorbers, Brembo Stylema front calipers, and a new titanium exhaust terminal.
