Stylish NY boutique, the Nomad, is making its way to Downtown LA, the latest hotel to elevate the area's growing hotel scene. Located inside Giannini Place, the historic building was originally built in the 1920s and served as the headquarters for the Bank of Italy. Much of the grand elements such as the gold and blue Italianate lobby ceilings have been restored to their original glory while the rooms follow that design language with Italian-inspired interiors and a vibrant yet soft color palette complete with custom furnishings and original art pieces.
It will also feature a rooftop space that covers 5,178 square feet and features a pool area, outdoor cafe, cocktail bar, and a view of the Downtown LA skyline. Dining and drink options will include the Giannini Bar, which will serve classic and special in-house cocktails concocted by Leo Robitschek, who helped win a "Best Bar in North America" award for the NY property. A Venetian-inspired Coffee Bar will serve up espressos from 7am in the morning and you'll also find two dining options: The Lobby with its more casual fare, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and the Mezzanine, the hotel's formal dining option.
