The Macallan 1977 Rare and Vintage

The Macallan's Fine & Rare collection has a very special bottle coming this year with the release of a 1977 vintage. The rare bottle was matured in a smaller, sherry-seasoned hogshead cask and has a golden barley color with a nose of "citrus fruit, lemon zest, sweet apples and vanilla," a palate of "wood spice, sweet citrus and soft peat," and a finish of "fruit and resinous oak."

Only four bottles of the 1977 have been allocated to the US.
