Suntory's oldest Yamazaki whisky is going to cost $27,000 a bottle

Japanese whisky fans have a new rare bottle to dream about with the announcement of Suntory's oldest Yamazaki whisky to date, The Yamazaki 55. Made from an unblended malt whisky that was matured at the Yamazaki Distillery in Shimamoto, Osaka, the whisky is described by Suntory's chief blender to have a "sweet and woody flavor with a fruity aroma and long aftertaste." Limited to 100 bottles, interested buyers will be required to have a Japanese address and you will have to enter a lottery to win an opportunity to purchase one. 

Applications will be accepted on February 5th to February 14th, 2020 and bottles will be delivered on June 30th.
