Snow Peak is bringing its campground concept to the U.S. with a new location in Long Beach, Washington. The company has drawn influence from its current campfields that are open in Japan (above) to inform the new project that is set to open in 2023.

Located on the north side of the Columbia River, which is right between Portland and Seattle, the 25-acre Long Beach Campfield will feature a heated soaking tub and sauna in a Japanese-inspired onsen, spaces for gatherings, and a variety of outdoor activities such as coastal hiking, beach-combing, surfing, paddling, fishing, and more.

The campfield will be host to a number of camping experiences that include campervan sites, tent platforms, and Kengo Kuma-designed Jyubako mobile cabins, which will be outfitted with a selection of Snow Peak amenities. There will also be a Snow Peak retail outpost with products that you can rent or purchase, a market with prepared meal kits, groceries, and camping essentials.

Reservations will be available in 2022.
