The Van Winkle distillery releases a 25 year old bottling of its highly-prized bourbon

The 25 year old will be limited to 710 bottles.

Old Rip Van Winkle 25

Pappy fans are going to want to be on the lookout this April as the distillery is releasing one of rarest bottles yet, Old Rip Van Winkle 25. 11 barrels of the whiskey were distilled in the spring and fall of 1989 in Shively, Kentucky and were then aged for another 12 years at Buffalo Trace's facility in Frankfort, Ky.

Each whiskey is bottled in a special decanter that was made by the Glencarin Crystal Studio and each individually-numbered bottle will be housed in a handmade wooden box made from the same oak staves used in the whiskey's distillation.

Each whiskey is bottled at 100 proof  and will be available this April.
