The always busy and ever-prolific Marc Newson takes his design talents into the office with a new office chair for Knoll. The Newson Task Chair hides the complexity of an ergonomic office chair inside a simplified design that is dominated by a single fluid line that creates a cantilevered silhouette with a seat that appears as if its floating. The back of the chair uses an elastomeric material for support and stability and has up to 19 degrees of recline. They've also created a new and more intuitive adjustment system that features three mechanisms for adjustability: a small seat lever to adjust seat height, a round knob at the side of the chair to adjust the tension of the back rest, and a tilt limiter.
Pricing and a release date for the Newson Task Chair has not yet been announced.
