Lamy Aion by Jasper Morrison

LAMY has teamed up with British Industrial designer Jasper Morrison on a pen collection called aion. Designed with a directive to use the least amount of plastic possible, the pens are made from drawn aluminum and features a new stainless steel nib design that is exclusive to the aion.

To create the pen, LAMY had to develop an all-new manufacturing process to construct the complex aluminum housing. The multi-step process consists of a deep-drawing process to form the aluminum and it then undergoes brushing, staining, and polishing while the grip is blasted and anodized.

The pen is available in black and silver and comes in a fountain pen, ballpoint, or rollerball. The pens are already available in Germany and will be released to the rest of the world in September.
