Highland Park likes to have a bit of fun with its special edition Scotches and their latest bottle is no exception. The Fire Edition is inspired by "the story of the realm of the Fire Giants and their epic battle against the Gods to rule the world. According to legend, Surtr was an evil Fire Giant who ruled the Fire Realm. He would sit at the edge of the Kingdom, defending the land holding a burning sword, which shone brighter and hotter than the sun."

Aged 15 years, the whisky was matured in 100% port refill casks, a first for the company. 28,000 bottles will be produced and will be housed in a red glass that is housed in a wooden cradle. Fire Edition will be available later this month in the UK and will reach the rest of the world in the coming months.
