Gordon & MacPhail 1956 Linkwood

Said to be from the last 1950s cask from Linkwood Distillery, this 60-year-old Gordon and MacPhail bottling was filled on January 3rd, 1956 and is one of the last casks laid down by John Urquhart, a first-generation member of the family that owns Gordon & MacPhail. After John Urquhart's retirement, his son George and the generations following looked after the cask until the fourth generation of the Urquhart family decided to bottle the whiskey, which is described to have notes of "blueberry, fruitcake, and dark chocolate."

Limited to 53 decanters, the whiskey can be purchased directly from Gordon & MacPhail's South Street retail store in Elgin, Scotland.

£22,000 (approx. $30,908),
