Glenfiddich is introducing a new range of whiskies called the Experimental Series that will feature an annual release of unique expressions from the famed distiller. The first of the two releases is their IPA Experiment, which is the distiller's first whisky that is finished in an IPA craft beer cask for three months. The flavor profile is described as having a "zesty citrus note followed by soft, sweet vanilla and a hint of fresh hops." The other release is their Project XX single malt that is finished in 20 different casks. This results in a unique flavor from Port pipes, Sherry butts and first-fill Bourbon casks that have been selected by their global ambassadors.
