George Dickel Bottled in Bond

Fans of George Dickel's whisky have a new Bottled in Bond limited edition that's already getting a lot of buzz in the whisky industry. What's "Bottled in Bond" mean exactly? In 1897, Bottled in Bond was enacted to ensure the authenticity of a spirit as well as its quality. These regulations from the US government require spirits to be the product of one distillation season by one distillery, that it the spirit be stored in oak containers in a federally bonded warehouse under government supervision, and that is bottled at 100 proof.
