Located in an abandoned winery on the Peloponnesian coast, the Dexamenes Seaside Hotel in Kourouta Beach offers something a little different than the more traditional hotel options in Greece. Originally built on the water to pump wine directly onto ships, these tanks have been turned into 34 guest rooms that are now reimagined with steel, glass, and wood to create a minimalist yet industrial atmosphere.

Rooms can be book with viewed of the hotel's courtyard or the Ionian Sea and feature suite sizes from 322 sq-ft all the way up to the 2,583 sq-ft, two-story Beachfront Villa, which features three bedrooms that have direct access to the sea. With the area's wide variety of wineries, food and drink will play an important role at the Dexamenes, which will host an open kitchen lab that will serve a variety of local cuisines.

The Dexamenes Seaside Hotel opens this May.
