George Clooney and Randy Gerber's Casamigos tequila brand is starting 2018 with its first-ever Mezcal. The Mezcal is un-aged and is created by taking piñas and cooking them for four to six days, which are then cooled for 24 hours and is then crushed and fermented for two to eight days.
It is then distilled twice in copper pot stills and is set for a month before mountain spring water is added to create the final formula. The flavor profile is described to have notes of tamarind, pomegranate, banana and mango and is recommended to be sipped at room temperature.
