Old Charter Oak Canadian Oak

For their latest release in their Old Charter Oak series, Buffalo Trace took in a small allotment of barrels from Canada and filled them with Mash #1, which forms the basis of Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare, and a number of other acclaimed bourbons. Taking advantage of the tighter grain that Canadian oak provides, the bourbon is aged longer and creates a profile that features a nose of caramel and berries, a palate of vanilla and maple syrup, and a long finish of oak, chocolate, and pepper.
