Boeing debuts its first hypersonic passenger jet concept

Ever since the Concorde was grounded, aviation companies and frequent flyers alike have dreamed of the return of high-speed air travel. Today, Boeing reveals its first passenger-carrying hypersonic concept that could become a reality in just a few decades. The concept would hypothetically use a turboramjet, which would be able to help the plane achieve Mach 5. So how does that translate into travel time? That kind of speed will quickly get passengers from destinations such as New York to Tokyo in just two hours.
