Acquire @ SEMA

Acquire was in Vegas last week to cover the big SEMA event and while its best we leave it up to the big car sites to give you the most comprehensive coverage, we thought we'd put up a top five list of some of our favorite things that we saw at the show. Check out our list after the jump.

Jeep J8 Sarge

Of all the models in the Jeep lineup, there is one that is by far the best and unfortunately it will never be available to the general public. The Jeep J8 Sarge is the work of Ralph Gilles, Vice President of Jeep and Truck Design, and Mopar Underground. The car is based off the mil-spec J8 design and features a 3 inch lift, a custom matte olive drab paint job, and 35 inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain Tires.

Galpin Scythe

The twin-supercharged 1,005 hp Galpin Scythe is basically your favorite Hot Wheels car fully realized in full scale. Making its debut at SEMA, the Scythe began its life as a Ford Mustang which was then mutated into its current form by the guys at Galpin Auto Sports (GAS) in Van Nuys, CA. You can imagine a car like this is just loaded with toys, on the inside you'll find a voice activated computer and a JL Audio Surround Sound system.

Camaro Black

Chevy was showing of a few examples of its next generation of American Muscle, the 2009 Chevy Camaro. One of the sleekest concepts we saw was the Camaro Black, which is powered by a 300 horsepower 3.6L V6 and features custom black finishing on various exterior components such as a matte black hood and "Dark Finished" aluminum 21'' wheels on both the front and back.

Subaru Forester Mountain Rescue

Subaru's custom ski patrol vehicle is the ultimate Alpine Assault car. This car is ready for any snowy obstacle with Air Lift adjustable ride height suspension, DeeZee front and rear skid plates, Bushwhacker custom Trail Armor, and Yokohama Geolandar tires. The car also features a 9,500 lb WARN winch for rescue situations and the rear cargo area is properly setup and organized for quick access to all your rescue equipment.

Ringbrothers 1969 Razor Chevy Camaro

The Ringbrothers 1969 Razor Camaro is simply one of the finest examples of American Muscle to ever touch asphault. The car features many of the Ringbrother's aftermarket gear such as a carbon fiber hood, custom billet work, and an amazing two-tone paintjob from Glasurit.

The Most Ridiculous Product at SEMA Award goes to...

The Asanti 42'' Rim

With it being SEMA there are a number of ridiculous products lining the showfloor, but we spotted something that is just way too out of control. What you're looking at is a 42'' inch rim, now we thought 24 was crazy, but this is just plain beyond obnoxious.
