Scout Resurrected

Volkswagen wants to take on Rivian and it's planning to do that by reviving the Scout brand for the US market. The company acquired the rights to use the Scout name last year and according to reports, VW wants to resurrect the brand as an off-road focused EV company. TechCrunch has reported that VW is likely to approve the proposal for the brand to launch in the US market by 2026 and in two VW renderings provided to TechCrunch via an unnamed source, both a truck and SUV have been proposed to compete directly the Rivian R1T and the R1S.
