Once again, the Quail Motorsports Gathering proved to be the hottest ticket at Monterey Car Week with its mix of debuts and rare classics. While the Concours d'Elegance has long had the concept lawn, the Quail is the place to be if you want to see the latest and greatest up close and personal. This year was no exception with debuts like the Lotus Evija (above) and Bugatti's latest showstopper, the Centodieci.

One trend you could not ignore was the growing category of electric-powered models, many manufacturers previewed the future of their electric efforts with brands like Bentley showcasing a not too distant future where a Grand Tourer-style model boasts a monster of an electric powertrain and the latest in AI-powered infotainment systems. Icon brought together both classic and bleeding-edge technology with a Derelict version of a Mercury coupe complete with a Tesla-powered engine that is capable of pushing the 1949 classic to a top speed of 120 mph.

The next Quail Motorsports Gathering will take place on Friday, August 14, 2020.
