Tesla bumps up the Model S' range to 390 miles

The electric sedan continues to be the one to beat.

While more and more automakers build out their electrification strategy, Tesla continues to fine-tune the range of their vehicles and once again they have taken the lead with an update to the Long Range version of the Model S. Elon Musk has been quoted as saying that the cars have seen a number of hardware updates over the past several months, allowing for the Long Range Plus model to achieve an estimated 390 miles of range. The Long Range Plus features a Dual Motor All-Wheel-Drive system, a 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds, and a top speed of 155 mph.
