Subaru's STI S209 will be its most powerful model ever
Subaru is releasing its first STI S-line model in the US with the debut of the STI S209, which is set to be their most powerful model ever. The S209 will have a 341 hp, turbocharged 2.5L Subaru Boxer engine and a close ratio six-speed manual transmission that's coupled with an all-wheel-drive system. It will also feature front/rear limited-slip differentials, a Driver Controlled Center Differential, an Active Torque Vectoring and Multi-Mode Vehicle Dynamics Control, and an SI-Drive system with three different drive modes.
Other features will include a wide fenders, front canards and a rear wing, flexible strut tower bar and draw stiffeners, 19 x 9-inch forged BBS wheels with Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT600A tires, Brembo brakes with high-friction pads, and WR Blue Pearl/gray wheels and Crystal White Pearl/gold wheels color combo options.
The STI S209 will only be sold in America and will be limited to 200 examples with a release set for later this year.
