Anyone who knows their racing history, should be quite familiar with this historic race car. This is the one of the three GT40s that took the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans. The gold GT40 was the third place winner driven by American pair Ronnie Bucknum and Dick Hutcherson, who completed 348 laps for the Holman & Moody racing team. This GT40 Mk II featurs a 7.0L V-8 engine that was capable of hitting 200 mph and was more than enough power to best the entries from both Ferrari and Porsche.

The car will hit the auction block this August at RM's famed Pebble Beach auction.
