Normally seen on sports car models like the 718 and 911, the "T" badge, which stands for Touring, is being applied to an SUV for the first time ever with the all-new Macan "T." The Macan T is powered by a 2.9L four-cylinder turbo that produces 261 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. This is paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and a Porsche Traction Management all-wheel-drive system. As for speed, this translates to a 0-60 time of 5.8 seconds and a top speed of 144 mph.
The Macan T also features a Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system as standard equipment and it's been specially tuned to send power to the rear axle. PASM can be equipped with an optional adaptive air suspension, which includes model-specific anti-roll bars to reduce body roll and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus is available to complement the Macan T's agility.
Exclusive exterior details include Agate Grey Metallic accents on the front trim, exterior mirrors, side blades, roof spoiler, and rear logos and a high gloss black finish has been applied to the sport tailpipes and side window surrounds. Additional details include 20" Macan S design wheels in a dark titanium finish, Sport-Tex Stripe pattern seats with six-way adjustability and heating standard, a heated GT sport steering wheel, and a Sport Chrono stopwatch.
Orders for the Macan T begin in early spring.
