The new 911 wasn't the only big announcement from Porsche at this year's LA Auto Show. The company also announced a track-ready version of its 911 GT RS with a Clubsport model that produces 700 hp and is eligible for clubsport events, PCA track days, and international motor racing events.

The new Clubsport will use the same 3.8L flat-six as the road version and will feature a seven-speed dual-clutch PDK. It will also feature six-piston aluminum monobloc racing calipers on the front axle four-piston calipers in the rear, Porshe Stability Management with traction control and anti-lock brakes, a carbon fiber steering wheel, built-in safety cage, and a racing bucket seat.

Porsche aims to deliver cars in May 2019.
