
Polestar unveils its first-ever SUV, the Polestar 3
Polestar has officially unveiled its first-ever SUV with the worldwide debut of the Polestar 3. In its standard configuration, the Polestar 3 produces up to 489 hp and 620 lb-ft of torque and with the Performance Pack you get 517 hp and 671 lb-ft of torque. With the Performance Pack, 0-60 happens in 4.9 seconds and it will hit a top speed of 130 mph. As for the battery, the SUV comes with a 111 kWh unit that can deliver up to 300 miles (EPA) and supports a charging speed of up to 250 kW.
The SUV also features a dual-chamber air suspension, which comes standard, a standard full-length panoramic roof, LED lighting throughout, proximity sensing retractable door handles, and 21" wheels. It also features an Android Automotive OS that was developed in collaboration with Google, a 14.5" center display, a 25-speaker Bowers & Wilkins speaker system, and the latest in safety and driver assistance systems that includes a LiDAR system that will support autonomous driving.
U.S. deliveries for the Polestar 3 will begin in mid 2024.
