Mercedes has debuted the first performance variant of its next-generation E-Class with the E43 AMG. The popular luxury sedan will feature a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 delivering a total of 396 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque. Power delivery is also complemented by Mercedes' four-wheel-drive 4Matic system and a nine-speed 9G-Tronic automatic transmission.

0-60 in the E43 happens in 4.5 seconds and will reach a top speed of 155 mph (limited). Specific to the E43 is a revised front fascia with large air intakes in the front bumper and a diamond grille with chromed pins. The inside can be specified with MB-Tex/DINAMICA or Nappa leather and the dash features high-res digital instrument cluster. The new E43 will hit showrooms in early 2017.
