Mercedes-AMG is giving its flagship sports car a bit more bite with the new GT R. With a more powerful V8 and their new ""AMG green hell magno" paint, the rear-wheel-drive car makes a big statement both inside and out. The engine delivers 577 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque from its 4.0L Biturbo V8.
This helps the car clock an estimated 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds and will hit a top speed of 198 mph. You'll also notice the bold new Panamericana grille that features 15 chrome-plated fins that echoes the styling of the timeless Mercedes-Benz 300 SL.
The styling is further emphasized by a wider front and rear end allowing for larger wheels for improved traction in the corners. Other performance highlights include active rear-wheel steering, AMG traction control, and a variable steering ratio. The GT R is set to hit Mercedes' US showrooms in mid 2017.
