First things first, no, the new A-Class hatch won't be coming to America, but the markets who will be getting it will receive a thoroughly overhauled next-generation model with features such semi-autonomous driving and an all-new multimedia system. The styling continues the design language that was introduced in the all-new CLA and it also gains more space with more shoulder, elbow, and headroom and 29 liters of more rear storage space.

That additional space is due to the 30mm longer wheelbase and a 14mm wider front track that makes for a larger car but still maintains its sleek and compact form. Engine options will include four-cylinders in 1.6L and 2.0L configurations as well as a 1.5L diesel. 4MATIC all-wheel-drive will also be available with an electro-mechanically controlled multiplate clutch.

You can expect a whole suite of technology such as a brand new multimedia experience that will boast touchscreen/touchpad controls, artificial intelligence technologies, a voice assistant, and an optional navigation system with augmented reality features.
