McLaren's 765LT supercar is getting a convertible option with a limited-volume 765LT Spider. Powered by the company's 4.0L twin-turbo V8, the 765LT Spider produces 755 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to get from 0-60 in 2.7 seconds and it can hit 124 mph in just 7.2 seconds. These numbers make for the fastest accelerating Longtail Spider the company has ever produced, speeding past the 720S with 15% quicker in-gear acceleration.
As for the retractable carbon fiber hard top, the roof can be lowered or raised in 11 seconds at speeds of up to 31 mph. There's even a powered rear window that you can lower to enjoy the soundtrack of the engine and you can do this with the top up or down. Additional features include a titanium exhaust system, F1-grade transmission materials, thinner glass, a carbon fiber aerodynamic package, enhanced chassis dynamics, custom LT springs and dampers, an increased front track width, 10-spoke lightweight forged alloy wheels, and Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires.
The 765LT Spider is now available to order and is limited to 765 examples worldwide.
